Lammas Ritual, August 1, 11:00am
Tamara will lead our Lammas ritual at Gaia's Gardens on Sunday, August 1st at 11:00am.
Join us as we celebrate Lughnasadh with a ritual to honor the sacrifices of the Earth. In Celtic mythology, the Lughnasadh festival is believed to have been started by the god Lugh, to honor his foster-mother, Tailtiu, (the Great One of the Earth), who died of exhaustion after clearing the great plain of Ireland in order for the land to be cultivated for agriculture.
Our ritual will be one of thanks to the Earth for all she provides to us. We will then take an oath for a personal sacrifice to honor and help her heal.
Remember, events at Gaia's Gardens are outdoors, so plan according to weather. This event is free, but remember that in today’s world a $1 donation will go a long way to keeping the gardens up for continued use.

PaigeThe theme of using less/being kinder to the planet supporting us was beautifully explained in ritual. I especially liked the Mandala style cleansing of the planet towards the end. Yay Tamara!
